on a walk

I took a walk yesterday, and here's what I saw:

We have a pretty massive park near our apartment that is usually swarming with people. We live in a largely Hispanic and Chinese neighborhood, so one half of the park is about a million kids playing soccer, and the other half is huge group of Chinese women very slowly working out to dance music. It's really fun, and it's excellent for people watching. They're always tons of music and delicious food, and you can see the Manhattan skyline from your picnic blanket. Since the cold weather is making it's way in, the park has been pretty desolate lately. It's been a great change of pace to walk around and just chill.

I don't even want to admit how many times I repeated this over and over in my head.

I've officially decided that the best way for me to clear my mind, and turn a bad day into a better one - is for me to take a walk around the West Village. It's just so beautiful, and I love that it's so easy to get lost in. More importantly, it has one of my favorite places in the entire world... Citipups.

(Also, can we just take a minute to look at that vicious puppy in the window)

I literally can't help myself when I'm by a pet store. I absolutely have to go in, and there's no stopping me from sitting with these puppies for 30 mins+. This specific puppy was $4,000. Yes, four-thousand-dollars. Does it totally seem worth the price when you get to hold this little baby - YES.

I named him Rudy.

I see a lot of subway performers, but this band seriously blew my mind. The crowd watching these guys was massive, and I don't think I've ever seen a bigger group of New Yorkers all smiling at the same time in my entire life.
