For 2016, I'm going to simplify my life. This year I decided to make some realistic resolutions that I can actually stick to doing. Here are my top four.
Go on a trip.
Patrick and I have never really been on a big trip together. I’ve been fortunate enough to have taken some amazing vacations in the past, and it’s about time that the travel bug is setting in again. We’re considering a week and a half in Belgium (he loves beer, and I love the chocolate) and the best part - it’s almost entirely free for us to go. Obviously, in the coming months and this is more set in stone, I’ll share some of my travel secrets. Feel free to offer suggestions of your own!
There’s very rarely a time when I’m not doing, or thinking, or making. I have a hard time just taking it easy and relaxing (I’ll be honest, doing nothing is like my worst fear) because I always have a head full of ideas of what I should be doing. It’s great in a lot of ways, but not being able to chill can be such a burden at times. This year, I want to learn to take it easy.
Rebrand my blog.
I’ve almost had this blog for a full year now, and it’s gone through some major changes already. However - I have to admit, I don’t love my blog name. I’ve got some ideas floating around about new ways to rebrand, and I hope to share them very soon. I also hope to keep to my twice a week posts - because we're all aware I'm slacking there.
Not run out of groceries.
You guys, I’m really bad at this. We often have nothing to eat in our apartment, just because we’re too lazy to buy groceries like normal people. You would think that we’d be better - we order our groceries online, even! We don't even have to leave our bed for this! This year, I hope to stop ordering so much takeout - and become like, a real adult, and make dinner every night.
